More Ways to Reach Every User

Relying on a single channel for OTP authentication leaves room for failure. Introducing multiple channels for OTP codes, TextPeak boosts verification delivery by ensuring there is always a channel for a user’s code to get through.

OTP Delivery Options

Reach Users Lacking Reliable SMS Access

In regions where SMS infrastructure is limited or texting isn’t an option, WhatsApp, Telegram, and voice OTP give users other ways to receive their code.

Verify via WhatsApp or Telegram

Most users already have WhatsApp or Telegram installed on their phones. By sending OTP codes over a data connection rather than a traditional carrier route, you add a familiar, non-SMS channel to your verification options.

Verification Failover

Fallback: Always a Backup Channel Ready

No single channel guarantees 100% delivery. With an omnichannel setup, your verification process doesn't rely on just one route. If an OTP fails to deliver on the first channel, TextPeak automatically attempts delivery on the next channel in your predefined sequence, so the user receives their code without even noticing the switch.

Build a Custom Channel Sequence

Decide which channels are in play and how they are prioritized. The sequence is yours to define, and it can be different for every campaign.

OTP Delivery Options

  • SMS

The default almost every user expects, with broad country coverage and no app required.

    Best for: reaching any phone

  • WhatsApp

Reaches users over data instead of via carrier route. Useful where SMS is filtered, expensive or unreliable.

    Best for: filtered routes

  • Voice OTP

Harder to intercept than SMS, making it the preferred choice for industries where verification security is a core requirement.

    Best for: high-value verification

  • Telegram

Strong in markets where Telegram is the primary messaging app, and a low-cost fallback anywhere users have an account.

    Best for: cost control

Cost Effective Coverage

Cover the Markets SMS Makes Expensive

SMS pricing fluctuates by market, and regions with low delivery rates are frequently the most expensive. Broad coverage across four channels enables you to authenticate users without paying the SMS premium to do it.

Cost Effective Coverage

Extensive Country Coverage

TextPeak reaches more countries and regions than most providers, giving your users reliable OTP delivery regardless of where they are based.

Let Sequence Control OTP Spend

Setting your sequence gives you direct control over your OTP spend. By prioritizing lower-cost channels first, expensive SMS routes become a backup option rather than your default choice.

Preconfigured OTP Flow

Set Your Sequence and Start Sending

OTP delivery includes everything needed to send time-sensitive codes fast. Code generation, expiry, delivery controls, and routing are preconfigured to your channel sequence, so your setup is ready to go from day one.

APIs: One Endpoint Behind Every Channel

Connect to a single API endpoint for your entire sequence. Once integrated, you can change channel priorities or add new delivery channels through your configuration settings without updating your codebase.

Built-in Abuse Controls

Don't let fallback channels become unprotected weak points. Configure rate limits, retry limits and cooldowns across your whole sequence, so the same limits apply to every channel you use.

Omnichannel OTP FAQs

Omnichannel OTP is a one-time password sent through SMS, WhatsApp, Telegram, and voice calls in a defined sequence. If one channel fails to deliver, the next takes over automatically, and users receive their code without a second request.

TextPeak delivers OTP codes via SMS, WhatsApp, Telegram, and voice calls. You set the channel priority order for each campaign, and TextPeak tries each channel in turn until delivery is confirmed.

TextPeak sends the code through the next channel in your fallback sequence automatically. If SMS doesn't deliver, the code goes out via the next channel in your chosen sequence.

OTP codes typically arrive within 3 to 8 seconds, fast enough to keep verification drop-offs down.

Most businesses use SMS as their primary OTP channel and bring in voice for sensitive actions like payment approval or account recovery. Additionally, with voice OTP, recipients can be prompted to press a digit during the call, confirming a real person answers.
